Oracle to Microsoft Database & Application Migration
|
When Microsoft launched SQL Server 2005, the IT community quickly recognised that it was a serious rival to Oracle in the application platform market. SQL Server 2008 has enhanced that reputation and has shown itself to be more than capable of supporting extremely robust applications in the most demanding of business critical situations. The technical capability and low acquisition and ownership costs of SQL Server make it a very attractive platform for users and ISVs.
Many organisations find themselves with applications on Oracle that they would like to migrate to SQL Server, but find it hard to get accurate information about the feasibility, costs and business benefits of migrating.
Working closely with Microsoft, Skyline has pioneered the processes and methodologies for assessing applications and data for migration, and also for the actual migration from Oracle to SQL Server, and has successfully carried out a large number of these projects. If you want migration advice and guidance, Skyline can help.
